Why Volunteer?
The Iowa County Historical Society has a long history of volunteer involvement. ICHS volunteers bring a broad range of knowledge that enhances visitors’ and researchers’ experiences.   If you have an interest in history and enjoy working with the public, we invite you to join the dedicated and enthusiastic group of people who help to bring the past into the present.

What Can I Do?
Volunteering at the Iowa County Historical Society will enable you to learn about history and develop new skills and to establish rewarding relationships with visitors and staff.   You may choose to volunteer in one or more of the following areas:

  • archiving
  • data entry
  • transcribing
  • special projects
